What is the best time of year to paint a house exterior on the Gold Coast?

Generally the cooler, drier months from around March to October are ideal, when there is less humidity and rain to work around. That said, we paint exteriors year round by working to the forecast, choosing dry windows and scheduling around the weather so coats cure properly.

How long does an exterior repaint last, and how often should I redo it?

With proper prep and premium coatings, an exterior repaint on the Gold Coast typically lasts around 10 to 12 years, which is roughly how often a full exterior needs redoing. Salt-exposed and full-sun surfaces can need attention sooner, and a quick wash and inspection will tell you when it is time. Do you pressure wash before you paint?

What happens if it rains during the job?

My home is older. Can you handle lead paint or asbestos surfaces?
