What is an aftercare and maintenance plan, and who is it for?

An aftercare and maintenance plan is a long-term agreement, usually spanning 10 to 20 years, where we schedule and carry out the upkeep your property needs over time. That covers pressure washing, exterior and common-area repaints, roof and concrete care and minor repairs, all on one fixed plan with pricing locked in from the start.

Most properties get painted only once they already look tired, which means bigger bills and a building that swings between fresh and faded. A preventative maintenance plan flips that around by keeping everything on a steady schedule. Here is who gets the most out of one.

Strata & Body Corporate

Strata and body corporate maintenance is our primary focus. Committees and strata managers get cost certainty, less coordination and a building that always presents well. We fold washing, repaints and common-area upkeep into one plan and tie it to your body corporate cycle.

Commercial & Industrial

Shopfronts, offices, warehouses and industrial sites that need to stay presentable and compliant. A commercial painting maintenance plan on the Gold Coast keeps your commercial painting, washing and line marking on schedule without disrupting trade or blowing out the budget.

Property Managers

For property and facilities managers, looking after multiple buildings is easier when upkeep is planned, not reactive. We give you one schedule, one point of contact and proactive updates, so you can brief owners with confidence and avoid last-minute repaint scrambles.

High-End Residential

For homeowners who want their place kept immaculate rather than left until it needs rescuing. We schedule washing, touch-ups and repaints so a high-end home holds its finish and its value year after year.

What an aftercare and maintenance plan covers

A maintenance plan on the Gold Coast can bundle almost any of our services into one long-term schedule. The same in-house team, the same standards and one fixed plan apply across the whole contract, so your property is looked after by people who already know it.

A schedule built around your property

No two properties wear the same way, so no two plans are the same. We set the cadence to your building, its exposure and how it is used. Coastal and high-traffic sites get washed and recoated more often, sheltered ones less, so you are never paying for work the property does not need.

One accountable team for the whole contract

Because all our painters are employed in-house with low turnover, you get the same faces across the life of the plan. There is no rotating cast of subcontractors, no relearning your property each visit, and one team that owns the result from the first wash to the last recoat.

Proactive upkeep, not reactive repairs

Catching grime, mould and wear early is far cheaper than fixing failure later. By washing and touching up on schedule, we stop small problems becoming big repaint bills and keep the building protected against Gold Coast salt, humidity and UV the whole way through.

Build a painting maintenance plan around your property

The strength of a plan is that you mix and match the services your property actually needs and set how often each one happens. As a guide, exteriors are often washed every few years and repainted around every decade, but the right cadence is always set per property. Here is what we build in.

Scheduled pressure washing keeps salt, mould and grime off render, walkways and common areas before they take hold. Regular washing is the cheapest way to protect paint and extend the time between repaints.

Planned exterior and common-area repaints on a set cycle, commonly around every ten years but tailored to your building. Because it is scheduled, the repaint happens before the old coating fails rather than after the damage is done.

We can fold roof restoration and concrete resurfacing into the same plan, so driveways, carparks and roofs are cleaned, recoated and resealed on schedule alongside the paintwork.

Between the bigger works, we inspect the property and handle minor repairs and touch-ups before they spread. It keeps the building looking maintained the whole time, not just in the year it gets repainted.

How we set up your aftercare and maintenance plan

Setting up a plan is simple, and you are involved at every step. Here is how we go from first visit to a maintenance schedule that runs for years.

/ 01

Property assessment.

We inspect the property, its surfaces, exposure and access, and talk through what you want the plan to cover.

/ 02

Maintenance schedule.

We map out which services are needed and when, across the full length of the contract.

/ 03

Fixed plan and pricing.

We put the whole schedule in writing, with pricing locked in from the start so there are no surprises later.

/ 04

Scheduled works.

We carry out each round of washing, repaints and repairs on plan, with timing and access agreed in advance and residents, tenants and trading hours worked around to keep disruption and complaints to a minimum.

/ 05

Proactive updates.

We keep managers, committees and owners informed before and after each visit, with the team reaching out the moment anything needs attention.

/ 06

Ongoing reviews.

As the property ages, we reassess and adjust the schedule so the plan keeps matching what the building actually needs.

How an aftercare and maintenance plan is priced

Every plan is priced on what your property needs across the years it runs, so there is no flat rate. The real advantage is certainty. We cost the full maintenance period up front and lock in today’s pricing, so you are not exposed to a rising quote every cycle and can budget the whole thing in advance.

Because every property and plan is different, the only way to get an accurate figure is an on-site assessment. We look at the building, map the schedule and quote the full plan in writing. For a sense of how we approach pricing across our services, see our pricing page; for a plan tailored to your property, a free, no-obligation site visit is the place to start.

Aftercare & Maintenance FAQs

It is a long-term agreement where we schedule and carry out your property’s upkeep over a set period, usually 10 to 20 years. Instead of organising one-off jobs, you get washing, repaints, roof and concrete care and minor repairs on a planned cycle, handled by one team and priced as a single plan.

They are built first for strata and body corporate, where regular upkeep and budget certainty matter most. They also suit commercial and industrial sites that need to stay presentable, property managers running multiple buildings, and high-end homeowners who want their place kept immaculate rather than left until it needs rescuing.

Most plans run for 10 to 20 years, though the exact length is set to suit your property and how you want to budget. A longer plan locks in more of today’s pricing and keeps the building on a consistent cycle, which is particularly valuable for strata and commercial sites planning years ahead.

We cost the entire maintenance period up front, based on today’s pricing, and that rate holds across the plan. It means you are not hit with a fresh, higher quote every few years, and you can budget the full cost of keeping your property maintained well in advance.

Almost anything we do can go into a plan: pressure washing, exterior and common-area repaints, roof restoration, concrete resurfacing, line marking refreshes, and minor repairs and touch-ups. You mix and match what your property needs, and we set how often each one happens across the contract.

It depends on the property, but as a guide exteriors are often washed every few years and repainted around every decade, with inspections and touch-ups in between. Coastal, high-traffic and exposed buildings are maintained more often, sheltered ones less. We set the cadence per property so you only pay for what it needs.

A long track record of hands-on work and a team that is not going anywhere. We have spent years washing, repainting and restoring roofs, driveways and buildings across the Gold Coast with the same qualified in-house team and the same standards we apply on every job. Each plan is also set out in a clear written agreement, so the schedule and pricing are protected on paper for the full term.

For most buildings, yes. Reactive repainting means lumpy, rising costs and a property that looks tired before it gets fixed. A plan spreads the work across a steady cycle, locks in pricing, and protects surfaces before they fail, which usually works out cheaper and keeps the property looking maintained the whole time.

Planned maintenance vs waiting for the paint to fail

There are two ways to look after a property: stay ahead of it on a plan, or react once it already looks tired. Here is how the two compare.

What stands behind your maintenance plan

Committing to a property’s upkeep for a decade or more is a big call, so we make sure there is something solid behind it. The work itself is well proven: years of washing, repainting and restoring roofs, driveways and buildings across the Gold Coast, handled by the same qualified in-house team to the same prep-led standards we bring to every job. A plan simply puts that proven work on a schedule. And because the whole plan is set out in a clear written agreement, the schedule and the locked-in pricing are protected on paper from day one, not left to a handshake, so your committee or owners can see exactly what has been committed to and for how long.

Cyana Ferguson

Painter

Cyana is one of the proud women in the trade, and the kind of painter you want on the precision work. She picked up a brush five years ago after her boyfriend (a painter himself) nudged her toward the trade, and she has not looked back. She finished her Cert III in Painting and Decorating in 2024 and was a finalist for Apprentice of the Year in both 2022 and 2024, no small feat. On site, she is known for her careful, patient hand: clean cutting in along colour changes, and the meticulous prep and gloss work on trims, frames and doors.

Born on 19 April, Cyana shares her birthday with Kate Hudson, and the two would get along famously: a love of good food, a strong creative streak, and a zest for life all round. Off the tools, you will find Cyana painting artistically in her own time, dabbling in arts and craft, or hunting down a good feed.

Daniel Yeowart

Painter

Daniel is now in his sixth year on the tools and has built his name on high-end residential new builds right across the Gold Coast and Northern Rivers. As a Painter with the We Paint Gold Coast crew, he is trained up on the spray gun and brings the clean, considered finish that brand new homes call for. Cert III qualified in Painting and Decorating, he is the kind of hand who takes pride in getting it right the first time.

Born on 26 December, Daniel shares his birthday with Jared Leto, a man who balances a flat out career with a genuine love of the outdoors and adventure. Daniel is cut from the same cloth: easygoing, always good for a yarn, and happiest once the workday is done. When the rollers are down, you will find him with his family, out in the surf, or kicking back with a cold one at the pub.

Bryce McInally

Leading Hand Painter

Bryce brings seven years of trade-qualified painting experience to the team, with work spanning Brisbane, the Gold Coast and across New South Wales. He started his apprenticeship in 2019, worked for a small business on new housing estates, moved across to commercial high-rise work, and now puts his hand to high-end new homes with the We Paint Gold Coast crew. As Leading Hand Painter, his specialty is spray work on gloss framework and the patient art of staining timbers, with prep work where he takes the most pride.

Bryce stands by the team motto, “We paint because you don’t,” a line that captures the no-shortcuts mindset he brings to every job. Born on 12 June, he shares his birthday with George H.W. Bush, a man who would happily ditch any obligation for a rod, a boat and a quiet stretch of water. Bryce is cut from the same cloth: when the brushes are down, you will find him fishing on land or out on his boat, or kicking back with his girlfriend and family.

Rafael Tinoco Vilaca

Painter

Rafael brings six years in the trade to We Paint Gold Coast, having worked his way up from apprentice to supervisor and now running jobs from start to finish. A licensed painter, he has experience across every corner of the painting business, and working on new builds is well and truly his cup of tea. On the tools or steering a site, he brings the same steady, do-it-properly approach to every job.

Rafael lives by the saying “The present time has no advantage over every other: it is our own,” a reminder to make the most of life now rather than dwelling on the past or the future. Born on 26 July, he shares his birthday with Mick Jagger, a frontman known for leading from the front and wringing every last drop out of life, the same zest Rafael brings to running a site and living well. Off the tools, he is happiest out in nature: down the beach, chasing waterfalls, out on a hike, camping, or firing up the BBQ.

Sammy

Supervisor

G’day, meet Sammy. Seventeen years in the trade and still going strong, this fella has well and truly earned his stripes. He cut his teeth doing two years of hard yakka with Dynacoat, criss-crossing Australia knocking over commercial jobs, before pulling up with the We Paint Gold Coast crew coming up nine years ago and grafting his way up to Supervisor. Spraying, roof restoration, new builds, repaints, texturing: you name it, and if it’s got anything to do with painting, Sammy’s your man. On the tools or running the show, he gets the job done properly and doesn’t muck about.

His motto is fair dinkum gold: “you can’t paint without paint.” Simple, cheeky, and true as they come. Born on 5 December, Sammy shares his birthday with Walt Disney, a bloke who started with one little sketch and built the whole lot from the ground up, much like Sammy going from a set of apprentice hands to running the crew. And when the brushes are down? You’ll catch him smacking a few balls round the golf course, putting in the hard yards at the gym, chasing a wave down the beach, or cracking a cold one. Good onya, Sammy.

Dannikah Woods

Operations Manager

Dannikah is the engine room of We Paint Gold Coast. As Operations Manager she oversees the daily run sheet, project coordination, client relations and team management, keeping residential and commercial projects flowing smoothly across South East Queensland. Known for her strong organisational skills, sharp attention to detail and a customer-focused approach, she holds every job to the team’s highest standard, from first quote through to final walk-through.

Her favourite saying, “You can’t climb the ladder of success with your hands in your pockets,” sums up the always-doing, always-moving energy she brings to every project. Born on 4 June, Dannikah shares her birthday with Angelina Jolie, a woman known for juggling motherhood, family and a high-output career with equal dedication, qualities Dannikah lives daily. When not at her desk, Dannikah is happiest outdoors with her kids and family, or shopping up a storm at Pac Fair.

Trent Delaney

Trent is the heart and the hands of the business.
