Honest assessment and recommendation first

Before anything is quoted, we assess the slab properly. If it is old, stained or aesthetically tired, the right products and process can bring it back to life. If the concrete is structurally gone, with sinking, severe cracking or broken edges, we will tell you it needs replacing rather than resurface over a slab that will only fail again.

Proper cleaning and surface prep

Every resurface starts with a thorough pressure clean and the right preparation for the chosen finish, lifting away dirt, oil, old coatings and surface contamination. A clean, sound surface is the only thing a new finish will properly bond to, which is why this step is never rushed.

Crack repair before any finish

We repair what can be repaired before any finish goes down. Superficial cracks are repaired and stay treated as part of the prep. Structural cracking, sinking slabs and broken edges sit outside what resurfacing can fix, and where that is the case we will tell you the slab needs full replacement rather than coat over it.

Anti-slip and UV stable as standard

An anti-slip additive can be added to any finish except polished concrete, which matters most around pools, wet areas and sloped driveways. On exterior surfaces we always use UV stable formulations so the finish holds its colour and does not yellow under harsh Gold Coast sun. You can also change the look entirely, choosing the colour and finish that suits the property rather than staying with tired, faded concrete.

Four concrete finishes, each suited to a different space

Different surfaces and budgets call for different finishes. The same in-house crew applies all four, matching the prep and the system to how you use the space, so you get one team and one standard of finish across the whole job.

Also known as grind and seal. The surface is ground back and sealed for a clean, low-maintenance finish that suits driveways, paths and patios, with a recoat recommended after around five years to keep it protected.

Coloured concrete done properly. The slab is pressure washed, prepped and finished in the colour of your choice, a cost-effective refresh for driveways and paths that typically holds up for around five years before a recoat.

What shapes the cost of a concrete resurface

Every slab is priced on its own, because no two are the same. The cost comes down to the size and condition of the concrete, the finish you choose, how much crack repair and old-coating removal is needed, and whether an anti-slip additive or extra access is required.

Concrete resurfacing or replacing, how do I know which I need?

Almost any old or aesthetically damaged slab can be brought back to life with the right products and process. Structural damage, like sinking slabs, severe cracking or broken edges, needs full slab replacement instead. We assess the concrete on-site and tell you straight which way to go before any work is committed.

Can you resurface cracked concrete, and will the cracks come back?

Superficial cracks can be repaired and stay treated as part of the prep, so they do not telegraph back through the finish. Structural cracks are a different story and are not suitable for resurfacing, as they point to slab movement that needs full replacement. We will identify which type you have when we inspect.

How long does concrete resurfacing last on the Gold Coast?

It depends on the finish. Hone and seal and pressure wash and paint typically run around five years before a recoat, while a 5 coat epoxy flake system and polished concrete are built to last 10 years and beyond. Coastal sun and traffic play a part, and the UV stable products we use are chosen to hold up in those conditions.

How much does concrete resurfacing cost on the Gold Coast?

Is resurfaced concrete slippery, especially around pools?

It does not have to be. We can add an anti-slip additive to any finish except polished concrete, which is particularly important around pool surrounds, wet areas and sloped driveways. We will recommend the right finish and slip level for how and where you use the space.

How do I look after my resurfaced concrete?

It is low maintenance. Dry clean regularly with a dust mop or vacuum to lift grit, and damp mop with a microfibre mop, warm water and a pH-neutral cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals, ammonia, alcohol and acidic cleaners, as these can damage the finish over time.

How long before I can walk on or drive on my resurfaced concrete?

Most finishes are touch dry within 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. As a rule, the surface is safe for foot traffic in around 24 hours, and ready for vehicles in 3 to 5 days. We will give you exact timings for your finish so the surface is fully cured before it goes back to use.
